Big Run

So, I'm doing the Jeff Galloway program and I have a 5 mile run tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous, not about the distance, but about the heat. Brian (my husband) and I are going to try and accomplish this as early as possible so it'll be as cool as possible. But it's still going to be hot! We've been discussing getting a fuel belt for me because the runs only get longer.

Any suggestions on belts from those veteran runners out there?

Happy Running!

  1. I've used everything from the Nathan handheld 20 oz water bottle that has room for a couple gels in the pocket, to a fuelbelt brand race # belt, to a spibelt. I've liked them all, but none met all my needs - each served a specific purpose. I recently started using the Nathan Speedbelt 2 - it has room for my keys, phone, gels, lip balm, and two small hydration bottles. Have used it on three 10+ mile runs so far and have enjoyed having it. Go to your LRS and other sports stores, trying on lots of different kinds until you find one that works for you - it's definitely an individual preference thing. Good luck!
